A timber pest inspection is a specialist assessment carried out to Australian Standard AS 4349.3, checking a property for termites, borers, fungal decay and the conditions that invite them. Our licensed inspectors use Termatrac termite radar, thermal imaging cameras, moisture meters and borescopes to detect activity that is completely invisible to the naked eye.
South-East Queensland's warm, humid climate is prime termite territory, and most home insurance policies exclude termite damage entirely. Colonies work silently inside wall cavities and structural timbers, often for years, before anyone notices. By the time mud leads or damaged skirtings appear, repair bills can already run into the tens of thousands.
Whether you are buying a property, have spotted something suspicious, or simply have not had your home checked recently, an inspection gives you clear answers. We service Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich, the Gold Coast and Moreton Bay, with residential, commercial and apartment inspections available.

Radar sees through walls
Termatrac technology detects live termite movement behind linings without any drilling or damage to the property.
Insurance won't save you
Home insurance almost never covers termite damage, making early detection the only real financial protection you have.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a pest and termite inspection cost?
Inspections start from $350, with the exact fee depending on the size of the property. Combining it with a building inspection in a single visit is the most cost-effective option for buyers — ask us for a combined quote.
When do I get the report?
The same day, guaranteed — if we miss sending you the pest inspection report on the same day, we waive the fee. For anyone buying under a building-and-pest condition, that speed keeps your contract timeline safely on track.
How do you find termites without damaging my walls?
We use Termatrac termite radar, which detects the movement of live termites through plaster, brick and timber, alongside thermal imaging that reveals nest heat and moisture patterns. Moisture meters and borescopes complete the picture. None of these tools require holes to be cut or linings removed.
How often should a home be inspected for termites?
At least once every twelve months in South-East Queensland, given the region's high termite pressure — and more frequently for properties with previous activity or high-risk conditions such as heavy garden timber or poor drainage. An annual inspection is a small cost beside structural termite repairs.
What happens if you find live termites?
Do not disturb them — spraying or breaking open workings scatters the colony and makes treatment harder. Our report documents the activity, its extent and location, and recommends appropriate next steps for treatment and ongoing protection, so you can engage a treatment provider with precise information.
